Rebuild or replace. We tell you straight.
Before any wrench turns, we find out why the engine failed and price the fix three ways: rebuild the one you have, drop in a used engine, or go new. You get photos and a written estimate, and you choose.

Diagnose
Compression, leak-down, scan data and a borescope look inside. We find the cause, not just the code.

Tear down
The engine comes apart on the stand. Every part is cleaned, photographed and laid out.

Measure
Bores, crank, bearings and heads are measured against factory spec. You see what's worn and by how much.
- 04
Rebuild
New gaskets, seals, bearings and rings, machine work where it's needed, torqued to spec.

Prove it
Break-in, fluid checks and a road test before the keys go back to you.
The Range Rover lab
Range Rover engines are our specialty.
Any Range Rover, any year. We almost named the shop Land Rover Rebuild Lab. We know where each of these engines fails, so we find it faster and quote it right the first time.

Supercharger & intercoolers
Rattle at idle from a worn coupler, whine, or coolant lost into the intercoolers. We rebuild or replace the unit and pressure test the cooling.

Cam covers & timing chains
The cold-start rattle on the 5.0 V8. Chain guides and tensioners wear, and left alone they take the engine with them. We replace the full set.

Cylinder heads
Head gaskets, warped or cracked heads, burnt valves. Heads go to the machine shop and get checked flat before they go back on.
- 04
Pistons, rings & bores
Oil burning, low compression and slipped liners on the older 4.0 and 4.6 V8s. Measured against factory spec, then rebuilt.
- 05
Crankshaft & bearings
Spun bearings and the crank failures the 3.0 diesels are known for. We find out why it starved of oil before we fix it.
- 06
Cooling pipes & water pump
Plastic coolant pipes crack in the valley and water pumps weep. This is the cheap fix that saves the engine, so we check it on every car.
